For use with the SmilePro LED light from the Advanced Kit. Always use the gel with the light, never on its own.
- Brush your teeth with water.
- Click the pen and paint a thin layer of gel onto your front teeth, top and bottom.
- Pop the mouthpiece in and press the power button. It runs for 10 minutes, then turns itself off.
- Take it out and rinse with water.
Do one 10-minute session every two weeks to help keep new stains from settling in, or once a week if you drink a lot of coffee, tea or red wine.

Teeth whitening pens and gel: how they work with your LED light
The SmilePro Whitening Pen Pack is 3 teeth whitening gel pens, 30 treatments in all, for your SmilePro LED light. They are the same pens that come in the Advanced Teeth Whitening Kit: paint the gel on, use the light for 10 minutes, then rinse. Most people use them for a top-up every 2 weeks to help stop new stains setting in.
Teeth whitening gel, always used with the LED light
Each pen holds 3 ml of whitening gel, enough for 10 treatments. The gel in our whitening pens uses PAP (phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid) as its whitening ingredient, in a peroxide-free formula. The blue LED speeds it up so each treatment takes 10 minutes, and the red LED is designed for a more comfortable treatment. Always use the gel with the light, never on its own.
How a teeth whitening pen works
The pen puts a thin layer of gel straight onto your front teeth, top and bottom, with no trays to fill and nothing to mix. Then you put the mouthpiece in and switch on your light. It runs for 10 minutes and turns itself off.
How often to use your whitening pens
After your 7-day course with the Advanced Kit, do one 10-minute session every 2 weeks to help keep new stains from settling in, or once a week if you drink a lot of coffee, tea or red wine. At one top-up every 2 weeks, the 30 treatments in a pack last over a year.

Are teeth whitening pens safe?
The gel is enamel safe and formulated to help prevent sensitivity in healthy teeth when used as directed. If your teeth are already sensitive, or your gums are sore, speak to a dentist before you start, as there may be an underlying cause.
Who the pens are not for
Do not use the pens if:
- you are under 18
- you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- you have gum disease, an oral infection or recent dental surgery
- you have amalgam fillings, unless you have consulted a dentist first
Using the pens for more than 14 consecutive days must be under a dentist's supervision. If your gums or mouth become irritated (redness, swelling or soreness), stop and see a dentist. Do not swallow the gel. Avoid direct contact of the whitening gel with your gums, and avoid contact with your eyes.

What is a teeth whitening pen?
A pen filled with whitening gel that you paint onto your front teeth, top and bottom. SmilePro pens are refills for the SmilePro LED light: after painting the gel on, you use the light for a 10-minute treatment.
Do I need the SmilePro light?
Yes. The pens are designed to be used with the SmilePro LED light that comes in the Advanced Kit. Always use the gel with the light, never on its own.
Is it the same gel as in the Advanced Kit?
Yes. These are the same whitening pens that come in the Advanced Teeth Whitening Kit, so a Pen Pack gives you 30 more treatments with your light.
Do teeth whitening pens work?
Used with the SmilePro LED light, the gel lifts surface stains from coffee, tea, red wine and smoking. The Advanced Kit, which uses these pens with the light, whitens up to 8 shades in 7 days. After your course, a 10-minute top-up every 2 weeks helps stop new stains setting in.
How long do I leave the gel on?
10 minutes, with the SmilePro LED light in. The light turns itself off after 10 minutes. Then take it out and rinse with water.
Can I eat or drink straight after whitening?
After each treatment, wait 1 hour before eating or drinking anything except water. After that, enjoy your usual coffee or tea, and rinse with water afterwards to help your results last.
What is the whitening ingredient?
A peroxide-free PAP formula: PAP (phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid), with potassium nitrate and hydroxyapatite in the formula. Every ingredient is listed on this page, under Ingredients.
How many treatments are in a pack?
30 treatments: 10 in each of the 3 pens.
How often should I top up?
Once every 2 weeks helps keep your results going, or once a week if you drink a lot of coffee, tea or red wine. At one top-up every 2 weeks, a pack lasts over a year.
Is the gel enamel safe?
Yes. The formula is enamel safe and formulated to help prevent sensitivity in healthy teeth when used as directed. If your teeth are already sensitive, see a dentist first.
Will the gel whiten crowns, veneers or fillings?
It can remove surface stains that have built up on veneers, caps and crowns, but it cannot make dental work whiter than its original colour. We do not recommend whitening while you have braces, as the result can be uneven.

Pens or whitening strips?
The pens need the SmilePro LED light and take 10 minutes a treatment. Strips need no light and take 30 minutes. If you have the kit, the pens are the simple way to top up. If you want whitening without a light, choose teeth whitening strips.
